You’ve Been “Graced”!

"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." Mark 12:30-31 (NIV)

Back to our roots…

Graces of Gurley was founded on a simple biblical calling: love God and love your neighbor. As we invest in the next generation through Jacob's Ladder, we want our students to learn that loving others isn't just something we talk about. It's something we live.

When our founder, Sue Hereford, began Graces of Gurley, she started in the simplest of ways. She waved to her neighbors, knocked on doors, and delivered homemade casseroles. Those small acts of kindness opened the door to meaningful relationships and became the foundation of our ministry.

Today, we want to return to those roots by teaching our students that caring for others often begins with a simple act of generosity. Each month, our Jacob's Ladder students will choose a person or family in our community to "Grace" with an unexpected act of kindness, reminding them that they are seen, valued, and loved.

Follow along as we share these stories of neighbors loving neighbors, one family at a time. Stay tuned to see who we "Grace" first!

"Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16
